Pee Wee Warriors fall to Melville

Nimegeers scores lone goal as Warriors drop 8-1 decision

The Moose Jaw Warriors didn't have a lot of luck in South Sask. AA Hockey League Pee Wee action on Sunday as they dropped an 8-1 decision to the Melville Millionaires.

Brooklyn Nimegeers – who leads the Pee Wee Mavericks girls team in scoring with 43 goals and 55 points in only nine games – scored the lone goal for the Warriors on the power play with 4:13 remaining in the second period. Aiden McDonald drew the lone assist.

The Warriors trailed 3-0 after the first and 4-1 through two.

Moose Jaw fell to 6-15-3 with the loss and are currently in sixth place in the South Sask. Pee Wee standings, one point back of Weyburn. They return to action Sunday when they take on Swift Current (7:45 p.m., Red Knight Arena).
