The Moose Jaw Generals came up short on the road against the Regina Pat Canadians on Wednesday night, dropping a 6-3 decision.

Cole Sillinger opened the scoring for Regina, but Casey McDonald evened things up before the end of the first period. These two would go on to put on a show, as Sillinger ended the game with a hat trick and an assist. For his part, McDonald scored all three goals for the Generals.

Although the game was tied at the end of the first, Regina would go on to score five straight. The Generals would get a couple back later in the third, but that was as close as they would get.

The ice was tilted in favour of Regina, with the shot clock reading 42-18 for the Pat Canadians. Drayden Ramage stopped 15 of 18 for Regina, while Reece Hodson made 36 saves in goal for Moose Jaw.

With the loss, the Generals are unable to gain any ground in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA playoff race. They remain eight points back of the Saskatoon Contacts.

Moose Jaw's next game is on Saturday, Feb. 9 in Wilcox against the Notre Dame Argos.
