Canucks can’t overcome Broncos' fast start in 13U AAA loss

Moose Jaw falls behind 9-1 through four innings, go on to drop 12-2 decision
As with any young team at this time of the season, finding consistency will be a key for the Moose Jaw 13U AAA Canucks down the stretch.

And the important part of that will be to find far more results like their win over the White Butte Broncos earlier this week, and less of what happened against White Butte on Friday night.

The Canucks fell behind 9-1 through four innings and eventually went on to drop a 12-2 decision in Baseball Regina action at Andrie Diamond.

The Broncos did most of their damage with a five-run second inning and were able to hold the Canucks to only four hits on the night.

Ramsey Thompson had one of those in the fourth inning, a one-out triple that turned into Moose Jaw’s first run of the game one batter later when Kaison Skeoch singled him home.

Thompson finished the contest with two runs scored, while Kyren Ernest and Tyson Ross each hit doubles.

Spencer Craig got the start on the mound and allowed six earned runs on four hits over three innings, striking out six and walking five. Ross tossed the final three frames and surrendered five runs, three earned, on six hits.

The Canucks were back in action Sunday when they travelled to Estevan to face the Brewers.
