The Lynbrook Golf Course suffered a break-in during the early hours of Friday morning.

Thieves managed to pop the glass out of the frame to gain entrance into the clubhouse and proceeded to steal around $250 as well as a quantity of alcohol.

The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m.

Reports indicate the break-in was a quick smash-and-grab, with the clubhouse alarm chasing the culprits off before more damage could be done.

The lock to the quonset next to the clubhouse used for golf cart storage was also broken, but it’s not currently believed the thieves stole anything from that area.

Lynbrook business manager Trent Lewry said that camera footage had been obtained – security cameras were installed shortly after the break-in a handful years ago saw the ATM machine in the clubhouse destroyed – and that police were planning to use it for identification purposes.

The door was covered with plastic much of the morning before a crew from Crystal Glass replaced it in the early afternoon.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Moose Jaw Police Service at 306-694-7600.
