Brayden Tracey named to Team WHL for Canada Russia Series

Next month Team WHL will face off against Team Russia at the 2019 CIBC Canada Russia Series Brayden Tracey of the Moose Jaw Warriors will be part of the team.

In three games this season Tracey has scored one goal and added four assists for five points.

Tracey will represent the WHL along with elite players like Kirby Dach of the Saskatoon Blades, Bowen Byram of the Vancouver Giants, and Dylan Cozens of the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Former Warriors Luka Burzan of Brandon and Jett Woo of Calgary have also been selected for the team.

The six-game CIBC Canada Russia Series features players from the Canadian Hockey League playing against the Russian National Junior Team. Team CHL has won the series 12 times. Team Russia won in 2018.

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League will host Games 1 and 2, while the Ontario Hockey League will host Games 3 and 4. For the first time since 2013, the event will close with two games in the WHL.

Team WHL will face Team Russia in Game 5 of the 2019 CIBC Canada Russia Series in Saskatoon on Wednesday, Nov. 13. The series will shift to Prince Albert the following night for Game 6.
