You will find lots of fun activities in and around Moose Jaw and area this weekend. The following list highlights some events you won’t want to miss out on.

Homegrown Farmer’s Market

Shop local at the Homegrown Farmer’s Market this Saturday. As usual, the market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. along Langdon Crescent. You will find all kinds of tasty treats, homemade items, and fresh produce. Be mindful of restricted access, due to construction.

Knights of Columbus Garage Sale

The Knights of Columbus will hold a garage sale on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. This will be the second day for the sale, which started on Friday. Stop by and pick up a bargain!

This ‘n That Fall Market

Stop by the market at First Free Methodist Church on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There will be lots of great items, including handmade crafts and rummage sale items. There will also be a bake table.

Used Book Sale

Stock up on your fall and winter reads. The Friends of the Library will hold their used book sale this weekend. The sale started on Friday and will continue on Saturday at the Moose Jaw Public Library from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Happy Un-Birthday at MJPL

The Moose Jaw Public Library wants everyone to celebrate their birthday this Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to noon. There will be activities and games like pin the tail on the donkey. The program is for kids between the ages of two and 12. Parents are requested to remain with their children.  

Pumpkin Harvest Festival

Looking for a fun family event? Yara Community Gardens will host its annual Pumpkin Harvest Festival this Saturday at the Grey Avenue location from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a clown and vendors on site. Of course, pumpkins will be available for purchase. Chili will be served, available by donation. Proceeds will support Hunger in Moose Jaw. 

Juno Beach Paintball

Once again, Prairie Storm Paintball will host its annual D-Day recreation event. This year it will be held on Saturday from 12 to 5 p.m. Hundreds of participants are expected. Funds from the event will support Joe’s Place.

Adoption Event

Looking for a new furry friend? SCRAPS will host an adoption even on Saturday from 12 to 5:30 p.m. at the Town ‘n’ Country Mall. Help a cat find its forever home!

Toy Run

The 31st annual Salvation Army Toy Run will begin at 2 p.m. sharp on Saturday. Once again, dozens of motorcyclists will drive up Main Street carrying toys and donations for the Salvation Army’s annual Christmas hampers. Riders should bring a new toy, book, or cash donation. Meet at the bottom of the Fourth Avenue Bridge before heading north on Main Street. The run will end at the Salvation Army Church on Wintergreen Drive.

Moose Jaw Warriors Home Opener

WHL hockey is back! The Warriors will host the Regina Pats in their home opener at Mosaic Place on Saturday. The puck drops at 7 p.m. A pre-game soiree will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. outside the arena. There will be music and a beer garden. Don’t forget — the Co-op 50/50 jackpot will start at over $20,000! Tickets are available through the Mosaic Place box office.

Clean-Up Tatawaw Park

The South Hill Community Association will once again organize a clean up of Tatawaw Park and you can get involved. The clean-up will take place on Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon. Refreshments, gloves, and garbage bags will be provided. Please bring your own to-go cup. Meet at the bridge at the bottom of Seventh Ave. SW.
