You will find lots of fun activities in and around Moose Jaw and area this weekend. The following list highlights some events you won’t want to miss out on.
Homegrown Farmer’s Market
Shop local at the Homegrown Farmer’s Market this Saturday. As usual, the market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. along Langdon Crescent. You will find all kinds of tasty treats, homemade items, and fresh produce.
Mortlach Community Fall Garage Sale
Head over to Mortlach this Saturday for the community fall garage sale. There will be multiple sales around town. The event goes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch and baking will be available in the hall.
Town ‘n’ Country Fest
There will be fun for the whole family at the Town ‘n’ Country Mall on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Town ‘n’ Country Fest will include a photo booth, entertainment, face painting, bouncy castles, and crafts. Over 20 vendors will be on site.
Zion Garage Sale
Stop by Zion United Church on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the second day of their garage sale. There will be lots of treasures available!
Elephant and Piggie Party
Does your little one enjoy the Elephant and Piggie books by Mo Willems? Be sure to stop by the Moose Jaw Public Library on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to noon for a special Elephant and Piggie Party. The event will include puppet making, building a bird nest hat, and an obstacle course. This is a free drop-in program that is meant for kids between the ages of two and 12.
Curling Open House
Thinking about giving curling a try? Stop by the Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre at Mosaic Place on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. for a special open house. Sponsored by Curl Moose Jaw.
Red Green: This Could Be It Tour
Canada’s favourite handyman will be in Moose Jaw this weekend. Red Green will perform at the Mae Wilson Theatre on Saturday at 3 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Few tickets remain, but are available at the Cultural Centre box office.
Li’l Chicago Trips
Looking to get away? The Moose Jaw Shrine Club can help you out! The club will host a Li’l Chicago Trips Giveaway evening on Saturday at the Exhibition Convention Centre. There will be a live auction for trips, a silent auction for merchandise, and live music from the Uncoolas. Cocktails are at 6 p.m., dinner is at 7, the auctions will start at 8, and a draw for a Mustang will take place at 11. Tickets are $125 each, which includes dinner, all beverages, and entry into the door prize draw.
Country Music Benefit Concert
As part of Seniors Week festivities, the Moose Jaw & District Seniors Association will host a Country Music Benefit Concert in the XYZ Auditorium at Timothy Eaton Garden on Sunday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tickets are just $7 at the door. Proceeds will support seniors in the community.
Annual Fowl Supper
The Fraternal Order of Eagles #3395 Ladies Auxiliary will hold their annual fowl supper on Sunday at the Eagles Hall. The doors will open at 4 p.m. Will include a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings, plus coffee, tea, and dessert until 6 p.m. Prices are $12 for seniors, $15 for adults, $5 for children (ages 5-10) and kids under five are free. Tickets will be available at the door.
Moose Jaw Warriors Home Game
Head to the rink this weekend! The Warriors will host their rivals the Regina Pats on Sunday at Mosaic Place. The puck drops at 4 p.m. Tickets are available through the Mosaic Place box office.
Thanksgiving Ham and Turkey Bingo
The Knights of Columbus Council 9760 will hold a Thanksgiving ham and turkey bingo on Sunday. The doors open at 6 p.m. and bingo will start at 7. The lunch counter will be open.
