You will find lots of fun activities in Moose Jaw this weekend. The following list highlights some events you won’t want to miss out on.

Moose Jaw Co-op Community Clean Up

Do your part to make our community a better place to live! This Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Moose Jaw Co-op will spearhead a community clean-up initiative. Participants will pick up garbage in parks, ditches, and streets. Everyone is to meet at the Ross Park Co-op Gas Bar (1592 Ninth Avenue NE). Proceeds from all recyclables will go towards the Peacock Centennial Auditorium Renewal Fund.

French Play Group

Looking for fun kids’ activities in French? Look no further than the French Play Group, which will meet Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the École Ducharme gymnasium. This group is designed for families with children up to five years old. Parents must accompany their children. Enter through the school’s main entrance. The event is offered free of charge!

Zion Mother’s Day Craft and Trade Show Fundraiser

Find the perfect last minute gift for mom at the third annual Mother’s Day Craft and Trade Show, which will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Social Hall at Zion United Church. The event is hosted by and will raise funds for the South Central Early Childhood Intervention Program (ECIP). There will be over 30 vendors and the first 25 ladies through the door will receive a flower. There will be a door prize, a penny parade, and a concession. There is no admission charge. Bring your money and prepare to shop!

Moose Jaw Pottery Club Mother's Day Sale

Members of the Moose Jaw Pottery Club will present their Mother’s Day sale this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is a great opportunity to shop local, support local artisans, and pick up that perfect gift for mom. Be sure to stop by at 741 Seventh Avenue S.E.

Mother's Day Fashion Show

The Town 'n' Country Mall will host a special Mother’s Day fashion show at 1 p.m. in Centre Court. The show will feature fashions from Eclipse, Maurices and Alia N TanJay, with a focus on spring fashion trends. Prize draws will be available courtesy of Chatters, Peoples Jewellers, Smitty’s, The Source, and Telus.

Films for Friends

Stop by the Kinsmen Inclusion Centre (335 Fourth Ave. SW) for another film showing courtesty of Moose Jaw Families for Change. This month's film will be Footloose. The cost is $5 per person and that includes the movie and popcorn. All proceeds from the event will go to Riverside Mission.

Masquerade Ball

Grab your mask and get set for a night of fun! The annual Masquerade Ball will be held on Saturday at the Heritage Inn. Cocktails are at 5 p.m. and supper at 6. Entertainment and a dance will follow. Proceeds from the event stay in Moose Jaw and will be used for local programming through the Canadian Mental Health Association. 

Classical Piano Recital 

Looking for something different this weekend? Plan to attend the classical piano recital, presented by the studio of Alana Karn on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Hillcrest Church. A reception will follow. The event is free to attend. Donations will go to Joe’s Place.

Trivia Night at the Royal Canadian Legion

Show off your knowledge this Saturday! The Royal Canadian Legion will host a trivia night, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Legion Lounge. There will be six rounds of trivia. The cost is $5 per person. There is a maximum of eight people per team. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place teams. The night will include drink specials and taco-in-a-bag will be available for purchase at half time. Get your team together!

Mother's Day at the WDM

Visit the Western Development Museum on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition to the museum’s regular exhibits and its new temporary exhibit on John Diefenbaker, you can enjoy a screening of films from the National Film Board. Screenings will take place throughout the day. There will also be a family craft and colouring activity between 1 to 4 p.m. Regular museum admission applies. The event is free for WDM members. Mother's Day Tea 

Residents of Chateau St. Michael’s and their family members can enjoy afternoon tea this Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. This come-and-go event will include tea and snacks. A prize will be given away and there will be games for kids. 

Mother's Day Lunch and Tea

A Little Prairie Charm Gift Boutique and Tea Room (35 High St. East) will host a Mother’s Day Lunch and Tea on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. You can enjoy tea, sandwiches, and tasty treats. Live entertainment will provided by SRW Country Trio - Music with Harmony. Tickets are available in store and cost $25 per person.

Knights of Columbus Roast Beef Supper

The Knights of Columbus Council #9760 will present their annual spring roast beef supper at Church of Our Lady Community Centre on Sunday. There will be one seating at 5 p.m. Tickets are available from the church office at 306-692-2950. Adult tickets are $15 and tickets for kids from 6 to 12 are just $8. Children under six are free.
