You will find lots of fun activities in and around Moose Jaw and area this weekend. The following list highlights some events you won’t want to miss out on.
Short Films at the WDM
The Western Development Museum will continue showing several short NFB films. You can catch the films as part of your regular admission to the Western Development Museum on either Saturday or Sunday this weekend. The films will be shown during the museum’s regular operating hours, which are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Introductory Bojutsu Class
Thinking of learning a new skill? Want to get active? You can learn more about bojutsu this weekend during a free introductory event. Bojutsu is perfect for both kids seven and older and adults. Stop by Bojutsu Moose Jaw (361 Main St. North) on Saturday at 10 a.m. to learn more!
Free Films at MJPL
The Moose Jaw Public Library will be hosting their Youth Lounge this weekend. Two films will be shown; you can either catch the 2019 animated film UglyDolls in the library theatre lobby, or the 2018 superhero flick Black Panther in the theatre itself. Both films will start on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. The event is suitable for all ages, although children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult. The screening is free to attend and no registration is required. UglyDolls is rated PG, while Black Panther is rated PG-13.
Cold Night for Cancer
The Churko family is getting the band back together in memory of the late Kelly Churko. The band Toque will perform at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre on Saturday at 6 p.m. The event will raise funds for the Moose Jaw Health Foundation.
