You will find lots of fun activities in and around Moose Jaw and area this weekend. The following list highlights some events you won’t want to miss out on.
Short Films at the WDM
The Western Development Museum will be showing several short NFB films over the next week. You can catch the films as part of your regular admission to the Western Development Museum on either Saturday or Sunday this weekend. The films will be shown during the museum’s regular operating hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
Winter Wonderland at MJPL
Stop by the Moose Jaw Public Library on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a special children’s program. You will have an opportunity to create a miniature of yourself and watch them skate or snowboard. This is a drop-in program and is intended for kids between the ages of two and 12.
Wakamow Wagon Rides
Finish off 2019 with wagon rides in Wakamow Valley. The rides will be offered on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. in Kiwanis Park. It is a perfect family event! The rides are offered free of charge. Hot chocolate will be served.
Junior Lacrosse
Interested in junior lacrosse? Stop by YaraCentre on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. The Moose Jaw Mustangs are seeking players born between 1999 and 2003. You will have an opportunity to learn new skills. Sticks will be provided. Please bring a helmet. The day will end with a scrimmage.
Public Skating
Grab your skates and head to Mosaic Place on Sunday. Free public skating will offered from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. Kids under 12 must wear a helmet. Anyone who will be on the ice must wear skates.
