The Yara Centre will be closed all day on Tuesday, October 10 as part of the 2023 Water Main Replacement project requires a temporary shutoff of the facility's water supply, the City of Moose Jaw has announced.
"It should be fully back in operation tomorrow," said Craig Hemingway, communications manager at City Hall. "The work will continue for a few days, but as far as the water shut-off, that's just a 'today' requirement.
"We thank everybody for their patience as we continue to improve the city's infrastructure. These are important projects, and we know interruptions are never great, but they are necessary sometimes."
The City of Moose Jaw is replacing more than 3 kilometres of cast iron pipes and feeder mains this year, costing nearly $10 million.
