The Hourglass Coffee shop, located at Battle Creek Adventure Park just east of Moose Jaw, is holding a Winter Wonderland event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, featuring a stocking stuffer craft market, wreath and ornament workshop, campfire, and free hot chocolate for the kids.

"We just wanted to bring some magic to the holiday season, give people a chance to buy their stocking stuffers from a few great local vendors, and just have a 'winter wonderland' event," said Daniel Markin, who owns Hourglass Coffee with his wife Elise. "We'd like to have a sledding hill, if we can get the snow, so we're praying for that, but even without snow there will be a lot to do."

Children 10 and under get in free, with a $5 admission for everyone else. Battle Creek Adventure Park is 10 minutes east of Moose Jaw on the Trans Canada Highway.

Untamed Blooms + Botanicals will be putting on a mini-wreath and ornament workshop for an additional cost. To reserve a spot in the workshop, call Untamed at (306) 692-4444. Hourglass Coffee will have a special Christmas drink and baking menu. An outdoor campfire, holiday photo booth, cookie decorating (free while supplies last), and hot chocolate shack are all part of the fun.

A silent auction fundraiser will raise money for a local family who are experiencing severe health struggles and could use a little help this Christmas.

Vendors at the event will include:

  • Cactus Ceramics
  • 1212 Studios
  • Hive Market
  • Design Build Plants
  • Jam & Co.
  • Untamed
  • Simple & Good
  • El Roi jewellery
  • Queen of Caramel
  • Pinch of Joy
  • No Gluten Kneaded
  • Bea & Jean
  • Golden Catering
