A water main break on Home Street East on South HIll has forced the City of Moose Jaw to shut off water to some nearby neighbourhoods.
A break was detected sometime this morning, so city crews were sent to homes in the area — between Second and Fourth Avenues Northwest — telling residents that city hall would shut off their water until the problem was fixed. Meanwhile, other crews worked to investigate the cause and location of the broken pipe.
The water will be shut off untl, further notice, while the municipality will provide a potable water truck for affected residents.
City hall was unsure how long it might take to fix this problem until it determined a cause.
