Fans of the Moose Jaw Warriors will have plenty of opportunities to see the local Western Hockey League squad in action live and in-person during the month of October.

Shortly after announcing their logo change and rebranding on Tuesday afternoon, the club released their full 2022-23 schedule, which will run from Sept. 23 through Mar. 25 and feature a 68-game regular season.

Fans will have a chance to see the arch-rival Regina Pats right off the hop in 2022, with the Warriors in Regina to open the campaign on Friday, Sept. 23 before hosting the Pats at Mosaic Place on Saturday, Sept. 24.

The first full month of the season will offer plenty of opportunities to see the Warriors at home, as six of their nine contests are at Mosaic Place. Moose Jaw plays five of their 13 games at home in November, five of nine at home in December, six of 13 at Mosaic Place in January, four of 10 at home in February before closing things out with five of their nine games at home in March.

The Warriors also host the Pats on Thursday, Oct. 20 and Friday, Dec. 16 in their final game before the Christmas break. The last chance to see Regina in the regular season will be Saturday, Mar. 18 in the second game of a home-and-home.

In fact, Moose Jaw will close out their campaign with eight Friday and Saturday games in March, all against Saskatchewan competition,

Moose Jaw’s longest home stand is three games from Oct. 8 through 15, featuring contests against the Winnipeg Ice (Oct. 8), Red Deer (Oct. 14) and Lethbridge (Oct. 15).

The Warriors head out on the road for their first trip to the Western Conference since the 2018-19 season beginning Nov. 23 in Prince George. The 12-day trip will mostly feature visits to B.C. Division teams -- the Memorial Cup-host Blazers on Nov. 25, Kelowna on Nov. 26, Victoria on Nov. 29, Vancouver on Nov. 30 -- before stops in Red Deer on Dec. 3 and Calgary on Dec. 4 on the way home.

A total of 585 of the 748 games on the WHL schedule – nearly 80 per cent – will be played on weekends or holidays. By focusing the schedule on weekends and holidays, WHL Clubs can further enhance the WHL player experience by allowing additional time for training and skill development, as well as academic enrichment.

The 2023 WHL Playoffs begin on Mar. 31, with the 2023 Memorial Cup hosted in Kamloops, B.C. from May 26 to June 5.

Warriors season tickets are now available, with early bird pricing until July 14. Be sure to visit www.mjwarriors.ca for more information.
