Anyone who saw the weather conditions this morning and into the afternoon knew this was coming.

The Western Hockey League announced Saturday morning that the game between the Moose Jaw Warriors and Swift Current Broncos has been postponed due to the ongoing winter storm making travel in southern Saskatchewan unsafe,

It’s the second game involving the Warriors to be postponed due to weather conditions this season, after the contest against the Regina Pats in Regina was cancelled on Oct. 23 due to the massive blizzard that hit the province.

The good news is fans won’t have to wait long to catch the Warriors and Broncos in action.

The game has been rescheduled to Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Moose Jaw Events Centre, with all tickets from Saturday’s game to be honoured.

The contest is also Fan Appreciation Night and is sponsored by the Moose Jaw Express and Sask Promo, with the first 1,000 fans through the door receiving a pack of Warriors hockey cards to trade with their friends.

The Warriors will also be wearing special fan-designed red jerseys, for which you can buy raffle tickets throughout the game and have a chance to win each game-worn sweater.

Game time is 7 p.m.
