Using the sixth overall pick, the Warriors added forward Martin Rysavy, a 6-foot-2, 183-pound left-handed shot who hails from Prerov, a city of 43,000 located three hours southwest of Prague.
Interestingly enough, Rysavy already has experience taking the ice against older players in a junior-aged league, having suited up most of last season with HC Vitkovice in the DHL Cup Under-20 league. Rysavy would score eight goals and 22 points in 23 games.
When he had a chance to take the ice against players his own age, Rysavy was even better – six goals and 12 points in only five games with the Vitkovice U16 squad.
Rysavy also suited up in the 2019 World Hockey Challenge, where he scored the game-winning goal with 14 seconds left in overtime to give the Czech Republic a 3-2 win over Matthew Savoie and Canada White in the bronze medal game. Rysavy scored three goals and five points in six tournament games.
Here's a look at that game-winning goal.

The trip to Canada won’t mark Rysavy’s first trip abroad, either – he suited up for the Czech Knights in the famed Quebec International Pee Wee tournament back in 2016, where he had a goal in six games.
The Warriors had only one pick in the Import draft, with Rysavy’s Czech compatriot Martin Lang holding down the other spot in the Tribe line-up.
