The walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Moose Jaw will be open to individuals today, delivering Pfizer vaccines to eligible individuals aged 12 and older.

Located on the Moose Jaw Exhibition Grounds at 250 Thatcher Drive, the clinic is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. No appointments are necessary to attend, and residents will be served on a first-come first-serve basis.

Current eligibility for second doses of the vaccine is at age 50 or older, or anyone who received their first dose on or before April 15.

Individuals who have been identified as a priority group by the health authority may also attend, provided they have received their letter of eligibility.

Youth aged 12 and over may also attend, as Pfizer has been approved for use in people under the age of 18.

Individuals seeking their second dose may attend the clinic, provided they received either a Pfizer or Moderna vaccine for their first dose. Public health is currently recommending that residents seek their second dose to match the brand of their first dose, but have confirmed they will follow national guidelines on mixing vaccine brands if availability is low.

Those who have booked an appointment through the public health’s booking tool but then attend a walk-in or drive-through clinic are reminded to cancel their booked appointment.

Wait times and updated information about all walk-in and drive-through clinics in the province can be found online at saskatchewan.ca/drive-thru-vax.
