As of this morning, more people are eligible to book their COVID-19 vaccine shot.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority has once again expanded the eligible age range for COVID-19 appointments. Those eligible now includes all residents aged 62 years and older, as of March 25.

Appointments for this age group are still available for booking, either online or by calling the Vaccine Call Centre at 1 (833) SASK-VAX (727-5829) between the hours of 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. You will need your health card to complete the process.

Other people who can book their shot include individuals 50 years of age and older living in the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District, all remaining phase one health care workers, and people with underlying health conditions who are clinically extremely vulnerable. People in this latter group have been identified by their healthcare team and will receive a letter from the health authority in the next two weeks, which is required to book their appointments.

As of March 24, public health is reporting that 151,507 vaccines have been delivered in Saskatchewan.

A shipment of the Pfizer vaccine arrived earlier this week. A Moderna shipment of 24,200 doses is expected Mar. 25.
