The walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Moose Jaw is located at 250 Thatcher Avenue.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority has once again lowered the age limit for vaccine eligibility in the province, and select Moose Jaw residents will have the chance to receive immunization at today’s walk-in clinic.

Effective on May 6, the vaccine eligibility criteria has been lowered to include residents aged 35 and older, who may now book a vaccine appointment either online or by phoning the Vaccine Call Centre at 1-833-SASKVAX (1-833-727-5829).

The change in eligibility applies to all types of vaccine clinics in the province including booked appointments, walk-in or drive-through clinics, pharmacies and mobile clinics.

The age criteria for residents living in the northern district of the province remains at ages 18 and older. Phase one healthcare workers, priority frontline workers and other identified priority groups still remain eligible as well.

Moose Jaw’s walk-in clinic is also reopening today, but will only be allowing residents aged 40 and older to attend for their first dose of the vaccine, with no exceptions possible.

The clinic, located on the Moose Jaw Exhibition Grounds at 250 Thatcher Drive, will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will provide vaccines on a first-come first-serve basis.

Those who have booked an appointment through public health’s booking tool but then attend a walk-in or drive-through clinic are reminded to cancel their booked appointment.

Wait times and updated information about all walk-in and drive-through clinics in the province can be found online at saskatchewan.ca/drive-through-vax.
