More residents are now able to head to a COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Saskatchewan to receive their first dose beginning today, as public health has lowered the eligible age range for the second time this week.

Residents ages 26 or older can now book a vaccine appointment or attend any one of the vaccine clinics in the province as of 8 a.m. today, including pharmacies, walk-in or drive-through clinics, and mobile clinics.

This includes the walk-in clinic scheduled to be open in Moose Jaw on May 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Exhibition Grounds at 250 Thatcher Drive.

The eligible age range in the northern part of the province remains unchanged at 18 and older, and all previously identified priority groups are also still eligible.

Public health officials indicated yesterday that clinics are now operating on a stock of only Pfizer BioNTech and Moderna vaccine doses, with AstraZeneca on the back burner due to supply.

Age eligibility is also expected to lower further later on this week, to 23 and older on Friday and 20 and older on Sunday.

Updates on clinic wait times are available online at saskatchewan.ca/drive-thru-vax.
