Member of Parliament Tom Lukiwski has announced that he will not be seeking re-election as the representative for Moose Jaw-Lake Centre-Lanigan in the next federal election.

Lukiwski has served as an MP since 2004, when he was first elected in the Regina-Lumsden-Lake Centre constituency as a candidate for the Conservative Party of Canada.

He was re-elected in that seat four times until constituencies were redistributed in 2012. Lukiwski then continued on to win his seat in the new Moose Jaw-Lake Centre-Lanigan constituency twice, most recently in the 2019 election.

The next federal election has not yet been called, but it must take place on or before Oct. 16, 2023.
