Contemplating motherhood is a rollercoaster ride from jubilance to a very poignant affair.

It has been almost a year since our mom went to her eternal reward and I miss her every day.

She was always there for every ounce of love and kindness we could squeeze out of her and she will always have a special place in our hearts.

As a mom, too, my heart aches to spend more time with our sons and their families and be a hands-on grandma someday.  As any mother knows, even when the kids were young and life was mayhem, when we tucked them into bed at night, there was a certain peace that settled in knowing all was well.  With distance and the stresses of life, the baton has been passed to a trust in God that all will be well and peace continues to prevail.
