MOOSE JAW — The City of Moose Jaw advises of a temporary closure impacting the 400 block of Main Street N for an open excavation from Aug. 24 to 27.
Main Street N will be closed between Stadacona Street W and Ominica Street W.
The impact to intersections on Main Street N includes:
- Stadacona Street W – remaining open to northbound and westbound traffic only
- Ominica Street W – remaining open to southbound and westbound traffic only
- Cordova Street – closed
There will be detours in place directing traffic to 1st Avenue NW.
Both the northbound and southbound transit stops at Main Street N and Ominica Street, which service Route 2 - Sunningdale and Route 3 - Athabasca West/Thatcher, will be closed. Passengers are encouraged to read posted signage for directions to the nearest available stops.
Sidewalks are expected to remain open in the area, with a construction fence in place around the dig.
The City reminds the public to remain outside of the barricades and follow
all temporary signage for the safety of everyone. No more #NotoriouslyClose calls.
