MOOSE JAW — The City of Moose Jaw advises that temporary traffic controls will be in place at several locations along 1st Avenue NW on Sept. 3 and 4, as part of the 2025 Corridor Study.

The city’s contractor will be drilling a series of bore holes on 1st Avenue NW between Manitoba Street and Caribou Street on Wednesday, Sept. 3 and Thursday, Sept. 4.

No full road closures or detours are anticipated for this work, with temporary traffic control signage and lane restrictions moving as the work zone moves. Traffic speed will be reduced to 30 km/h in the areas where bore holes are being actively drilled.

There are no anticipated impacts to transit services.

The 2025 Corridor Study will provide a detailed design of road surface features, including how the road is expected to function and create consistency through each of the signalized intersections.

Details of the Corridor Study can be found on the 2025 Engineering Services Capital Projects page.

The City reminds the public to follow all temporary signage for the safety of everyone. No more #NotoriouslyClose calls.
