If there was any question as to whether or not Team Saskatchewan members will have a decent handle on the ice at the Moose Jaw Events Centre heading into the Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship this week, one only has to look at what went down on Frtiday night.

Team Sask 1 members Marie Wright and Moose Gibson joined forces with coach Lorraine Arguin to put up an eight-ender during the Scott McKenzie Memorial Bonspiel, offering a pretty good sign that things are looking very good, indeed.

Wright and Gibson will play alongside Gil Dash and Darwin Bender on Sask 1 during the tournament, which begins Sunday afternoon with team practices followed by the first draw on Monday at 2 p.m.

Also representing Saskatchewan is the team of Rod Pederson, Sheryl Pederson, Russel Whitsitt and Stewart McKeown.

Tickets for individual draws or throughout the week are available on SaskTix.ca.
