Step Three begins; 19 new COVID-19 cases, 1 death reported, 34 recoveries

As of today, July 11, all public health orders related to COVID-19 — including the mask mandate — have been lifted in Saskatchewan. The orders had been in place for 485 days.

There is one new death to report today. That brings the total number of deaths in the province to 573.

There are 19 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on July 11, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Far North East (5), Saskatoon (4), Regina (3), Far North West (2), Far North Central (1), North Central (1), Central East (1), and South East (1).

One new case is pending residence information. 

There are now 49,260 reported cases, including 399 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 43 (3.5 per 100,000).  

A total of 12,274 Variants of Concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Regina (4,828), Saskatoon (2,130), South East (1,150), South Central (890), North West (841), Central East (651), North Central (637), South West (414), Far North West (331), Central West (149), Far North East (87), North East (80), and Far North Central (4). There are 82 screened VOCs with residence pending.

An additional 10,320 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,299,188.

There are 54 people in hospital. Forty-eight people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (19), Regina (16), North West (8), and North Central (5). Six people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (3) and Regina (3).

Thirty-four more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 48,288 recoveries. 

A further 863 COVID-19 tests have been processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 934,928 COVID-19 tests have been processed in Saskatchewan.
