Gather your team of trivia buffs and put your knowledge to the test.

The Wakamow Valley Authority will host its inaugural Wisdom Bowl on Saturday, April 13 at the Sportsman’s Centre. It is a special trivia night that will raise funds for Wakamow’s new disc golf course.

“There will be teams consisting of up to 10 people competing in a multi-round trivia challenge,” said Trish German, Wakamow administrator and event coordinator. “The format of the night is there will be a round of questions and then we will quickly mark them all and give out the scores. We will repeat this throughout six rounds. Each round will have 10 questions and some questions will have bonus points.”

The six rounds will include two general knowledge rounds, along with one round each for movies, music, local trivia, and Wakamow trivia.

Outgoing Wakamow CEO Margaret Moran will host.

The evening will also include a 50-50 raffle and a bottle draw. A bar and a small concession will be available. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams.

The plan is to make the Wisdom Bowl an annual event.

The cost is $5 per person. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the trivia will start at 7. Several teams have already registered, so act now if you are thinking of getting in on the fun. German says they will do their best to accommodate as many teams as possible.

To register, you can visit the Wakamow office at 276 Home St. East. You can also call 306-692-2717 or email wakamow.events@sasktel.net. Teams will also be able to register at the door.
