The Saskatchewan Health Authority has announced two more Moose Jaw businesses that may have been exposed to COVID-19 last week, adding to the three businesses already flagged on Friday

The SHA shared a warning last week that an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 recently visited the Moose Jaw Co-op Marketplace, Past Times Old Time Photography and Gifts, and the Moose Jaw Co-op Gas Station on 1st Ave NW between Aug. 27 and Sept. 1.

That announcement was updated over the weekend, adding that the individual also visited McDonald’s on MacDonald Street West on Aug. 29, from approximately 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The SHA also shared in a separate press release on Monday that an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 was in Heritage Insurance Ltd. on Sept. 3, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Public health is advising anyone present at these locations on these specific dates, during the noted time periods, to self-isolate if they have had or see COVID-19 symptoms develop and to call HealthLine 811 for testing.

For anyone who has not had any symptoms, officials recommend self-monitoring for at least 14 days in case symptoms appear. Visible symptoms can take anywhere from 2 to 14 days to appear.

The public notice was issued following the SHA’s standard contact tracing investigation into the individual after testing positive. The investigation will continue, said a press release, to identify all possible close contacts with the individual.

Testing is universally available to the general public upon request, by contacting HealthLine 811.
