On Oct. 12, the Saskatchewan Health Authority issued a possible COVID-19 exposure warning for two Moose Jaw businesses prior to the long weekend.

An individual or individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 visited these businesses on Oct. 8 while likely infectious:

  • Temple Gardens Hotel & Spa swimming pool from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.;
  • Boston Pizza on 1650 Main Street North from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The SHA also issued exposure notices for locations in Prince Albert, Yorkton, Regina and Saskatoon dated as early as Oct. 3.

Public health is advising anyone present at these locations on these specific dates, during the noted time periods, to self-isolate if they have had or see COVID-19 symptoms develop and to call HealthLine 811 for testing.

For anyone who has not had any symptoms, officials recommend self-monitoring for at least 14 days in case symptoms appear. Visible symptoms can take anywhere from 2 to 14 days to appear.

The public notice was issued following the SHA’s standard contact tracing investigation into the individual after testing positive. The investigation will continue, said a press release, to identify all possible close contacts with the individual.

Testing is universally available to the general public upon request, by contacting HealthLine 811.
