The seventh positive presumptive case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in Saskatchewan, in an individual who recently travelled to Arizona.

The resident, who is in their 60s, was tested in Regina and remains in hospital due to unrelated medical reasons.

Public Health is investigating the case and will be in contact with anyone who had close contact with the resident and may be at risk of developing COVID-19.

Officials remind Saskatchewan residents to continue to be on the lookout for respiratory or flu-like symptoms, especially if you have recently travelled internationally.

Precautionary measures regarding travel and mass gatherings are being updated regularly, to reduce transmission of the virus.

For anyone experiencing symptoms, officials ask them to avoid hospitals and clinics and instead contact HealthLine 811 for instructions.
