Sept. 10 has been named World Suicide Prevention Day in Moose Jaw, thanks to a proclamation signing from Mayor Fraser Tolmie.

September is Suicide Awareness Month and the Journey to Hope group has a number of ongoing initiatives in an effort to ‘get loud for mental health.’

The group will also holds its annual fundraising walk in Crescent Park on Sept. 26.

More information about World Suicide Prevention Day is available on Facebook.
