Here's a summary of the draw results from the Scotties Tournament of Hearts on Monday, Feb. 17.

Morning draws:

Mary-Anne Arsenault finally broke Team Nova Scotia’s streak of losses with a 10-4 win over Yukon’s Hailey Birnie, moving Nova Scotia into a five-way tie for first place in Pool B.

Manitoba’s Kerri Einarson performed a near-perfect takeout as her final shot to finish the match-up against previously undefeated skip Krista McCarville on Team Northern Ontario. Einarson remains undefeated with the 8-7 win.

Team Canada’s Chelsea Carey took Quebec skip Noemie Verreault to an extra end, taking a 9-7 victory over the Quebec team.

Northwest Territories skip Kerry Galusha nailed a satisfying 14-2 victory against Newfoundland and Labrador’s Erica Curtis, the first win for the northern team in the tournament.

Afternoon draws:

After a tense eleven ends between Manitoba’s Kerri Einarson and Canada’s Chelsea Carey, Einarson emerged victorious with a final draw shot that landed her the 6-5 victory over Carey to continue Manitoba’s undefeated streak.

Northwest Territories skip Kerry Galusha took a 9-5 win over Yukon’s Hailey Birnie, giving the team a glimpse at the championships from their current standing in Pool B.

Team Nova Scotia and skip Mary-Anne Arsenault surged into first place in Pool B after their 9-5 victory over Newfoundland and Labrador’s Erica Curtis.

Northern Ontario’s Krista McCarville made a two-point comeback in the ninth end against Quebec’s Noemie Verreault, giving Carville the win with a final score of 9-7.

Evening draws:

The evening draws featured an impressive battle between Wild Card team Jennifer Jones and Prince Edward Island’s Suzanne Birt, which went to an eleventh end and finished on the final shot with a 9-8 win for Jones.

Team Saskatchewan took on the undefeated Team Alberta in a hard-fought draw, with Saskatchewan skip Robyn Silvernagle flexing her draw talent to secure a 7-5 win over Alberta skip Laura Walker.

Ontario’s Rachel Homan faced off against the young team from British Columbia, skipped by Corryn Brown, and emerged from a tense final end with a 9-7 win for Homan.

Andrea Crawford and Team New Brunswick took their first win in their draw against Nunavut’s Lori Eddy, with a final score of 5-2.
