Staying connected is more important than ever, so SaskTel is helping its customers do just that.

SaskTel will continue to waive data overage charges, while also offering free TV channels to subscribers.

SaskTel is extending the waiving of data overage charges to May 31. That means there will be no data overage charges (domestic data) for business or consumer customers, on SaskTel’s postpaid Wireless plans, noSTRINGS Prepaid wireless plans or SaskTel fusion Internet plans from March 17 to May 31, 2020.

“Keeping the province connected throughout the COVID-19 outbreak remains SaskTel’s number one priority, and we are pleased to extend this offer,” said Doug Burnett, SaskTel President and CEO.

SaskTel will also continue to provide additional free content to its residential maxTV and maxTV Stream customers, with current access to over 50 channels on free preview.

According to SaskTel, since the middle of March, the company's networks have experienced an increase in wireless data traffic of approximately 37 per cent. Internet data traffic is up about 10 per cent, while maxTV has seen an increase in content delivery traffic of 37 per cent.
