Emily Whetung, former chief of Curve Lake First Nation, will share an Indigenous perspective on nuclear power, and the municipal perspective will be brought to the table by residents of Pickering, Ontario who have lived near a nuclear power plant for decades.

Scott MacGregor, a spokesperson for SaskPower, said that as the Crown corporation continues investigating the possibility of nuclear energy, they are committed to holding ongoing and meaningful dialogue with the people of Saskatchewan.

Questions of waste management, safety, local water use, and technology have all been raised as topics of concern.
