More people are calling Saskatchewan home than ever before.
The province's population increased by 4,195 people in the third quarter of 2019. That means Saskatchewan's population is now at an all-time high of 1,178,657.
In a press release, Trade and Export Development Minister Jeremy Harrison noted a connection to this increase and the Government of Saskatchewan's Growth Plan.
“Our new Growth Plan includes goals of 1.4 million people living in Saskatchewan and 100,000 more jobs in our province by 2030,” Harrison said. “More people, jobs and opportunities means a better quality of life for everyone who calls Saskatchewan home.”
This is the 54th consecutive quarter of population growth in Saskatchewan.
