Saskatchewan's economy is benefitting from strong wholesale trade numbers.
Statistics Canada reports the province led the nation in both month-over-month and year-over-year wholesale trade increases.
Wholesale trade in Saskatchewan was up 18.2 per cent (seasonally adjusted) in February 2019, compared to last February.
Between January and February 2019 there was an increase of 7.5 per cent.
“It is reassuring to see Saskatchewan lead Canada in both year-over-year and month-over-month increases,” Trade and Export Development Minister Jeremy Harrison said in a press release. “This sustained growth reflects strong market confidence and demand for Saskatchewan products indicating that our economy is on the right track.”
Saskatchewan's wholesale trade for February 2019 totalled $2.4 billion.
