As Saskatchewan prepares to conclude the first portion of its vaccination plan, the eligibility age limit has been lowered again to include residents aged 20 and older in the province.
Beginning May 16, individuals over the age of 20 may now book an appointment to receive their first dose of the vaccine at a public health clinic, either online or by phoning the Vaccine Call Centre at 1-833-SASKVAX (727-5829).
Eligibility in the northern part of the province remains at 18 and older, and all priority groups previously announced remain eligible.
Eligible residents may also attend any participating pharmacies, or walk-in, drive-through or mobile clinics in operation.
The eligibility age is set to lower even further in the coming week, reaching 16 and older on May 18 and 12 and older on May 20.
The Ministry of Health previously indicated that the youth vaccination plan may include a school-based delivery program, similar to other public health vaccination programs. More details are expected to be released closer to Thursday.
Second dose appointments will also become available beginning Monday, opening first to residents aged 85 or older or anyone who received their first dose on or before Feb. 15.
