UPDATE: As of 11:01 a.m., SaskPower has reported that power has been restored to residents in Westheath.

SaskPower is working to restore power to the Westheath area of town this morning. Temperatures are hovering around -40 C with the windchill factor, so residents should have blankets and warm clothing readily avaialble until the problem is corrected.

The cause of the outage is an underground cable fault. Crews are on the scene and the current expectation is that power will be restored sometime around 11 a.m.
