The drive-through vaccine clinic in Regina opened on March 15, delivering AstraZeneca vaccines.

The drive-through vaccine clinic located in Regina became available to residents aged 58 years and older over the weekend, effective March 21.

At this time, only individuals aged 58 or older on the day of immunization may receive a vaccine from the drive-through clinic at this time.

Located at the Regina Exhibition grounds, the clinic is delivering only the AstraZeneca vaccine to residents, after receiving a shipment of 15,500 doses the week prior. On Saturday, the Saskatchewan Health Authority reported that since opening the drive-through clinic on March 15, over two-thirds of its vaccine supply has already been administered.

The drive-through vaccine site is still open from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and operates on a first-come first-serve basis, while vaccine supplies last. Wait times can be found online through the SHA’s website, updated hourly, or by tuning to radio station 107.5FM.

Public health is also encouraging residents aged 67 or older to book their appointments through the mass immunizations clinic, which is delivering doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. Appointments can be booked either online or by calling the Vaccine Call Centre.

Those attending the vaccine clinic or the drive-through testing clinic are advised by public health to enter the exhibition grounds via Lewvan Drive and 11th Avenue, follow the green signs for the vaccine clinic and yellow for COVID-19 testing. For individuals heading to the mass immunization clinic for pre-booked vaccine appointments, enter from Elphinstone Street and 10th Ave, following blue signs on site.
