The drive-through vaccination clinic in Regina will be extending its age window to include residents aged 49 on Tuesday, as public health continues to encourage eligible residents to seek vaccination due to COVID-19 variant concerns.
The drive-through clinic will be open only to residents aged 49-54 on April 13, during the operating hours of 8:30 a.m. and 11 p.m.
Vaccines will be delivered on a first-come, first-serve basis and only to individuals in the indicated age bracket. To minimize wait times at the clinic, public health is asking residents to only attend the clinic if their age group has been advised to be eligible.
Wait times are being updated hourly online at saskatchewan.ca/drive-thru-vax.
Residents aged 55 and over may receive their vaccines by booking an appointment either online or by phoning the Vaccine Call Centre.
Vaccines are being delivered as fast as supply allows, said a press release from public health, and more age groups will be included as the province receives more doses.
