RCMP received more than 100 COVID-19 calls last week

Saskatchewan RCMP continue to field calls related to COVID-19.

From May 1 to May 7 inclusive, there were 104 calls for service related to COVID-19. This includes:

  • 33 complaints of social gatherings of over 10 people;
  • 13 complaints of people failing to self-isolate when allegedly required to do so;
  • 58 other COVID-19 related complaints.

As a result, one charge was laid in the northern district of the province. 

Since March 1, there have been 1,379 occurrences related to COVID-19. Four charges have been laid.

The RCMP will continue to investigate any potential violations of the province’s Public Health Order.
