The RCMP are asking businesses and individuals to make sure they are not missing copper wire.

Since the beginning of March, RCMP detachments in the Swift Current and Morse areas have recovered several large amounts of copper wire.

Some of the wire is identifiable through markings and labels, but the RCMP have not yet been able to identify the owners of the wire.

The RCMP are therefore asking companies and individuals that work with or own copper wire — bare and coated — to check their stock and determine if they have been the targets of theft.

If you believe this applies to you, please contact your local RCMP (306-691-4670 in Moose Jaw), or 310-RCMP. You can then make arrangements to identify your missing property.
