With COVID-19 numbers rising, Prairie South School Division (PSSD) has revised its Return to School Plan
Starting Monday, Sept. 13, all students in PreK to Grade 8 in Moose Jaw will now be required to wear a mask at school and on school buses. Visitors to Moose Jaw PSSD elementary schools will also be required to wear a mask.
According to a letter posted on social media, students and staff will be able to take mask breaks at recess and during outdoor activities, providing social distancing can be maintained.
With regards to other PSSD schools, the letter states "we will continue to strongly recommend that children under the age of 12, unvaccinated students and staff, and visitors wear a mask at school."
PSSD adds that there has been no in-school transmission thus far.
