The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) has lifted the provincial fire ban that had been in place since July 2.

The SPSA lifted the ban due to recent rainfall and cooler temperatures in some areas of the province.

The ban had applied to all Crown lands, provincial parks and the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District.

Some municipalities continue to experience a high fire risk and may choose to keep their fire bans in place.

Anyone who spots a wildfire can call 1-800-667-9660, dial 9-1-1 or contact their closest SPSA Forest Protection Area office. You find the latest fire risk maps and municipal fire ban map at www.saskatchewan.ca/fire.
