UPDATED: Power mostly restored after unplanned outage this morning

Large parts of Moose Jaw are without power Friday morning due to an unplanned outage

UPDATE:

As of 11 a.m., power has been restored to all listed areas except for Iron Bridge. According to SaskPower, crews are repairing damage caused by a broken insulator and estimate power will be fully restored by 11:30 a.m.


A number of neighbourhoods in Moose Jaw are without power on Friday morning due to an unplanned outage, says SaskPower. 

The areas of the city affected include:

  • Caribou Heights;
  • Dunmore;
  • Highland Park;
  • Iron Bridge;
  • Old 96;
  • Pacific Park
  • Palliser Heights;
  • Prairie Heights;
  • Regal Heights;
  • Sunnyside
  • The Highlands;
  • Westmore.

The power outage is reported to have begun just before 10 a.m. SaskPower crews have been dispatched and are looking into the cause of the outage. An estimated repair time has yet to be announced.
