According to a new poll, Canadians are not happy with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The poll was conducted by the non-profit Angus Reid Institute. The quarterly survey of more than 5,000 adults has Trudeau’s approval rating dropping 10 points to 33 per cent.

That number is right around where the PM’s rating sat for much of 2019. His rating had increased slightly from 36 per cent in December to 43 percent in January —buoyed in part due to his response to the Iranian plane crash — but has since dropped again. That drop is seemingly attributed to Trudeau’s handling of the Coastal GasLink blockades.

Approximately 34 per cent of Canadians say they would vote Conservative if another election were held, while 26 per cent say they would vote Liberal. Voter intention in Saskatchewan shows that 61 per cent of eligible voters would select the Conservative Party of Canada.

The federal leaders with the strongest support are Jagmeet Singh of the NDP (49 per cent favourable) and Yves-François Blanchet of the Bloc Quebecois (53 per cent).
