Police seize over $96K worth of meth

The Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) have seized a large quantity of drugs.

On July 16, the MJPS, along with SGI, were conducting a high visibility vehicle check stop.  

During the course of the evening, police spotted a suspicious vehicle on the east side of Moose Jaw. The driver was ultimately arrested for outstanding warrants. Through a search incident to arrest, police located over two pounds of methamphetamine.  

Police estimate the approximate street value of the drugs seized is $96,000.

33-year-old Steven Hourie of Moose Jaw has been charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.  

He has been released and will appear in court at a future date.
