The Moose Jaw Police Service conducted a drug bust recently and ensured that a small amount of cocaine wouldn’t reach the community’s streets.
According to a news release, the police service executed a search warrant on Feb. 6 at a residence on South Hill in relation to an ongoing drug bust. Police located about 15 ounces of cocaine with a street value of $42,000. They also seized more than $83,000 in Canadian currency.
Police arrested Moose Jaw resident Mitch Schoffer, 38, without incident during the investigation. They charged him with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and proceeds of crime over $5,000.
Schoffer has been remanded for court.
Police continue to investigate.
