Police respond to assault with firearm, suspect in custody

Police responded to a firearms call on April 11, and took one individual into custody for the incident

Moose Jaw Police responded to a domestic dispute call on April 11 around noon, where they arrested one individual for assault with a firearm.

When police arrived at the resident on the 900 block of Athabasca Street West, they found the occupants of the home unarmed when they arrived, with a firearm insecure on the property. Police determined that the firearm was used in an assault, and one individual was taken into custody. 

No injuries were reported in the incident.

A 22-year-old male has been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, and uttering death threats. He will be held for court on April 13.
