The Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) has released more details surrounding the highway accident earlier today.
Around 1:30 this afternoon the MJPS, the Moose Jaw Fire Department and EMS responded to a two-vehicle collision near the Highway 2 overpass and the Trans Canada Highway.
A southbound vehicle on Highway 2 struck the guardrail and launched off the roadway, landing on the westbound lanes of Highway 1. The vehicle was then struck by a westbound semi.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Police say the driver of the semi was treated by EMS at the scene and was released.
MJPS continues to investigate the cause of the collision.
Damage is estimated at $60 000.

Earlier today, the Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) were at the scene of a single vehicle accident that blocked the westbound lane on Highway 1 at the Main St. N overpass.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area and to use an alternate route.
The MJPS advise that highway traffic has now been re-opened.
